2012 marks the 100th anniversary of 1st Normandy Scout Group. I'm currently the Cub Scout Leader there, and in fact 2012 will be my 25th year as a Scout, having started as a Cub at the end of 1987!
The group is at present trying to raise funds to renovate our Scout Hut, so I've decided as I'm running my first marathon this year, that I'd at the same time raise money for the renovation. But then I thought I need to do quite a bit of training for the marathon, so as it's my 25th year as a Scout, I'm going to run at least one race (minimum distance 10k) for each year I've been a Scout during 2012 (in addition to the marathon, thus rounding it out to 26 races in total - or a marathon of races!)
